12-year-old Kamya climbs 6962 meters high Mount Ekanagua, the youngest mountaineer.

Kamya Karthikeyan, a 12-year-old student, has become the youngest climber in the world to climb Mt Aconcagua.  Located in the Andes Mountains of Argentina, Mount Aconcagua is the tallest mountain in the South American continent.  Authorities said they hoisted the waves on the 6962-meter high mountain on February 1.  Kamya is a seventh-grade student at Navy Children's School in Mumbai.

On August 24, 2019, Kamya completed the ascent of Mount Mantok Kongri Second, 6260 meters high in Ladakh.
She is the youngest mountaineer to do so.  "Regular participation in adventure sports, along with years of physical and mental preparation, helped Kamya climb the climatic conditions," said a campaign official.  Kamya's father S.K.  Karthikeyan is the commander of the Indian Army, while his mother Lavanya is a teacher.
