Gandhinagar: Consideration to start educationel work in the state after landing - Minister of Education



Gandhinagar: Educational work in the state was supposed to start from November 23 after Diwali, but the government postponed the opening of schools and colleges due to the increase in corona cases in the state. Now that the Corona cases are declining, the Rupani government is reconsidering opening phases of higher secondary schools and colleges as well as universities. Education Minister Bhapendrasinh Chudasama had given such hints after interacting with teachers in Gandhinagar.






The state government is considering starting dates for universities, higher secondary schools and colleges, the education minister said. A high-level committee headed by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will be constituted on the issue and a decision will be taken to reopen the school-colleges in phases, he said.

According to senior sources in the education department, the government is considering starting universities and school-colleges after the landing in January. This will help in conducting annual examinations in colleges, universities and higher secondary schools. However, the government will still wait for the primary school to open.
