Night Curfew Continue in 4 MEGA City Of Gujarat.

Corona in the state is scheduled to start vaccination from Saturday tomorrow.  The night curfew has been extended in 4 major cities of the state namely Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Surat.  Chief Minister Vijay Rupani during a function in Jamnagar announced that the night curfew has been maintained till January 30-31.  Earlier, police chief Ashish Bhatia had announced extension of night curfew in four cities - Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot.

The night curfew was reduced by one hour just 15 days ago
A night curfew has been imposed in four metros of Gujarat, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot from 10 pm to 6 am.  The state government had earlier reduced the night curfew from eight hours to eight hours due to the reduction in the transition to Coro.  The announcement was made by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani after a meeting of the state's core group 15 days ago.

The night curfew had a major impact on business and employment
The curfew caused severe damage to entertainment, hotels and some businesses.  Earlier these places were discharged, but they were losing money when they were closed again.  There was a peak season for all these businesses during the New Year celebrations, but they were closed.  The curfew time was started from 10 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. so that they no longer have to bear the loss.

Several industries, including hotels and restaurants, demanded relaxation during the curfew
Earlier, a curfew was imposed in four cities, including Ahmedabad, from 9 pm to 6 am following the sharp rise in corona cases after Diwali.  Several industries, including hotels and restaurants, were demanding relaxation during the curfew.  The night curfew was extended from 10 pm to 6 am after the state government reviewed the situation.

What the High Court did to the government
The High Court had directed the state government to ensure that the situation in the state after Diwali does not worsen during and after the festival of Makar Sankranti.  The High Court had urged the state government not to panic over drastic decisions.  Don't worry about people getting frustrated.  People can celebrate this festival next year with enthusiasm and glee.  The High Court had directed the public prosecutor to state what the government wanted to decide on the Makarsankranti festival by seeking information.  A further hearing in the case will be held on January 8.  A non-disclosure petition has been filed in the High Court pertaining to Makarsankranti
