 India's upcoming electric vehicles in 2022


In 2022, stylish electric automobiles will be available in India.


Electric buses have come a long way in recent years and are now becoming more popular as energy prices rise and environmental concerns grow. So far, a few electric cars have been launched in the country, and 2022 is expected to be a huge year for electric automobiles, with automakers planning to debut many models in the near future.


Then there are the best electric cars coming to India in 2022.


Altroz EV by Tata


Following the success of the Nexon EV, Tata is preparing to launch the Tata Altorz EV. The Altroz EV will be built on the Agile Light Advanced (ALFA) technology, which is new to the firm. It was the company's first vehicle to be shown at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, and it will be equipped with Ziptron Technology. It is expected to have a range of 250 to 300 kilometers.


BMW i4 (electric vehicle)

In 2022, luxury automaker BMW is expected to launch its alternative vehicle, the i4, in India. The iX-electric vehicle was just introduced in the country. The BMW i4 is an electric version of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe that has a significantly improved design. It's expected to have an 83.9 kWh battery pack and a range of more than 450 kilometers.


Recharge your Volvo XC40

The Volvo XC40 Recharge, which was supposed to be released in 2021, has been postponed because to a chip shortage. It is now expected to be spelled out in the first half of 2022. The vehicle is fitted with a 78 kWh battery pack that provides a range of up to 418 kilometers on a single charge.


Mini Cooper SE (Special Edition)

The Mini Cooper SE has been mentioned on the company's website, with an expected release date in the first half of the year. It will be equipped with a 32.6 kWh battery pack with a maximum range of 270 kilometers. Limited quantities of the vehicle are expected to be produced by the company.


eKUV100 by Mahindra


The Mahindra eKUV100 was shown at the 2020 Bus Exhibit and is based on its conventional counterpart in terms of design. Due to a global semiconductor shortage, the vehicle has been delayed and is expected to be released in 2022. It's expected to have a 15.9 kWh battery pack with a maximum range of 140 kilometers.


Tata Tiago Electric Vehicle

Tata is also preparing to launch the Tiago EV in India in the sub-ten lakh segment, in addition to the Altroz EV. The car is expected to debut in the second half of 2022, and it is expected to be inspired by its conventional cousin.


Renault Zoe is the car manufactured by Renault.

Renault is expected to deliver its first electric vehicle in India, the Zoe, an entry-level vehicle that was unveiled at the 2020 Bus Show. It is expected to have a 52 kWh battery pack and a maximum range of 394 kilometers.


EQS Mercedes-Benz


The Mercedes-Benz EQS, which is an electric version of the iconic S-Class, is expected to arrive in the country in the second half of 2022. It is expected to have a 107.8 kWh battery pack and a range of approximately 770 kilometers on a single charge.


Sierra Tata


The Tata Sierra, one of the company's most recognizable buses, is expected to make a reappearance in India in 2022. It was unveiled for the first time during the 2020 Bus Exhibit.


K ZE Renault

The Renault K ZE is based on the Renault Kwid hatchback and is expected to be more expensive than the Renault Zoe. The vehicle was unveiled at the 2020 Bus Exhibit and is powered by a 26.8 kWh battery pack with a maximum range of 260 kilometers.
