Co-WIN app : Ministry of Health launches Co-WIN app, vaccination will be done only after registration here.

• The Co-WIN app app will assistance in real-time monitoring of vaccine delivery.
• Through the app, the government will be able to keep the data of vaccinated people safe.

The year 2021 begins with the good news of the covid vaccine. Covishield and covacin vaccines have been approved. The Co-WIN app will launching by the Union Ministry of Health to deliver the vaccine to the people. Moreover this app will help in real time monitoring of vaccine delivery. Through the app, the government will be able to keep the data of vaccinated people safe. 

Vaccination will be done after registration on this app. However, the app is currently not available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. According to some reports, the production work of the Co-WIN app has not been completed yet. 

What is the Co-WIN app?

Co-WIN (Covid-19 Vaccine Intelligence Network) is an upgraded version of eVIN (Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network). Once the application is completing, it will be available for free on Play Store and App Store. The Ministry of Health has clarified that corona vaccination will take place in 3 phases. 

The vaccine will giving to frontline professionals in the first phase. Moreover people involved in emergency services in the second phase. As well as people with serious conditions in the third phase.

Easy to use:

Registration to start on April 28

Previous reports was claiming that the registration would begin on 24th April. However, the government was now clarifying that the registration will be starting only on 28th April through the CoWIN Portal or Aarogya Setu app. Please, don’t get misguided by rumours stating that registration for vaccination of 18+ citizens to start out from April 24, 2021.

The registrations will be starting on the #CoWIN portal and Aarogya Setu App from 28th April onwards. The government of India’s official citizen engagement platform MyGovIndia tweeted that “Stay informed, Stay safe! ” 


Vaccination requires registration on the app. All users should be ready to download the app for free of charge and register themselves for a vaccine. According to media reports, the registration process will be as follows… Photo and ID are going to be required for self-registration on Co-WIN’s official website. 

Water ID, Aadhaar card, driving license, passport and pension document can be used in the ID.
Moreover mobile number has to be submitting during registration.
As soon as doing the registration, the date, time and place of vaccination will informing through SMS.

5 modules of the Co-WIN app :

From this app the vaccination process will work on a platform for administrative activities. Vaccination personnel and all those who are about to be vaccinating. It includes Administrative Module, Registration Module, Vaccination Module, Beneficiary Acceptance Module and Report Module.

The people who will manage the vaccination event. Moreover they will determine the session through this module. Through it, vaccinators and providers will get information through notifications.

This module is for those who have registered in the vaccination program.

Vaccination module:

Will verify the information of people who have registered for vaccination and will also provide status update

It will send a message to the recipients of the vaccine. Moreover it will also generate a QR code. As well as people will also get an e-certificate of the vaccine. 

Report Module:

The report of the vaccination program will be preparing through it. Such as how many vaccination sessions were hold. Moreover how many people got vaccinating. As well as how many people registering but did not get vaccinated etc

Even if the campus of the university opens early, the students of Ahmedabad University will be able to opt for online classes till December, 2020. The remarkable policy was announced by Ahmedabad University Vice-Chancellor Professor Pankaj Chandra amid uncertainties over when campuses across the country would reopen.

The decision has been taken as the university has implemented strict plans and management procedures to ensure the safety of students during the new academic year. The date of arrival on campus during the monsoon semester is uncertain and the university will ask students to come to campus only when it is safe for them to do so.

Considering the situation faced by students coming from Gujarat and other cities of the country, Vice Chancellor Pankaj Chandra said, Until then we will facilitate them to study online. We have taken this step as the students entering the university this year are facing unprecedented situations and have to pay special attention to it. '

If there was one thing that caused the most damage in the Corona period, it was education. The children have not been to school for more than six months. And now in Gujarat, schools are not likely to open till Diwali. The central government from September 21 std. Students from 9 to 12 were allowed to be called to the school, but the Gujarat government does not have to take this risk and there is no hope of opening schools till Diwali. On the one hand, there is a tussle between parents and school administrators over school fees. The High Court has refused to mediate in the matter, saying the state government should take a decision in the matter. Parents do not want to pay full fees when schools are closed. School administrators say how can we pay teachers if they don't pay fees? In these circumstances parents who do not pay the fee are not given the password of online education by the school. In short, the very poor condition of education is being witnessed now.

The question is that private schools in the state charge full fees in the name of online education but are the children getting online education properly? The government, on the other hand, is not talking about what online education is for children in government schools. The fact is that the education of children studying in government schools is in a very poor condition at present. Millions of children in Gujarat are studying in government schools. More than 50% of these children do not have access to online education. Online education requires a smartphone as well as a separate mobile for the child. Not every child has this arrangement. As a result, even if online education continues, these children are still deprived of education. So how do these children get back into the mainstream of education? That raises a big question

Gujarat Council of Educational Research and Training (GCERT) is a pivotal institution at the state level for the enhancement of qualitative education at primary and secondary schools.

It was the "State Institute of Education" before 1988. It was later upgraded as a SCERT in 1988, under the resolution of the State Education Department. The upgraded SCERT, now named as Gujarat Council of Educational Research and Training (GCERT) is a fully structured State level academic institution and is controlled and guided by a Governing body as well as an Executive Committee.

GCERT was shifted from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar, the State Capital in 1997. State Education Department has allotted separate land for the GCERT for building in sector-12. Hence the GCERT has been functioning in the newly constructed building “VIDYA BHAVAN” in sector-12 with modern infrastructure and latest equipment since 21st August 2004 in view of the widening horizon.

Under the umbrella of GCERT, there are now 27 DIETs (District Institute of Education and Training) functional in 33 Districts. These DIETs impart pre-service and in-service training to the primary teachers of the State. There are seven branches namely Pre-service Teacher Education (PSTE), Work Experience (WE), District Resource Unit (DRU), Curriculum Material Development & Evaluation (CMDE), Educational Technology (ET), In-service Field interaction Innovation & Co-ordination (IFIC) and Planning & Management PM functioning in these DIETs. These DIETs are well equipped with qualified and experienced academic and administrative staff.

The GCERT works as a prominent institution for implementing the policies, programs, and researches in the State. It provides resource support and guidance to all the teacher education institutions and works in collaboration with the NGOs, Subject experts, Educationalists, and pioneers in bringing about reforms in the remote and underserved areas of the State. It disseminates the latest information with regard to modern trends and approaches in primary education, pre-service and in-service education, pedagogical advances in the country, wide use of distance education as a mode of training, organizing community awareness programs, and updating of the curriculum of primary education in view of new and emerging concerns. Even the State Ministry of Education banks upon its expertise. The Council is committed to bringing about qualitative improvement in school education particularly Elementary Education, development of curriculum syllabi, instructional material, and evaluation strategies to explore suitable solutions to educational challenges with the changing time. The GCERT has scaled a unique journey with experimentation from chalk to satellite, scaling an arduous terrain in the field of educational reforms.

The following guidelines for personal care are suggested by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, especially for respiratory-related health maintenance and enhance immunity.

General lunatics-

• Drink warm water throughout the day.
• Daily practice of Yogasan, Pranayama and meditation suggested by Ayush Ministry (for at least 30 minutes) (#YOGAatHome #StayHome #StaySafe).
• Use turmeric, cumin, coriander and garlic in cooking
• Ayurvedic steps to increase immunity.
• One tablespoon (3 grams) of Chyavanprash in the morning, (diabetic patients should take free sugar Chyavanprash).
• Herbal Tea / Boil - Tulsi-Cinnamon-Black Pepper - Drink herbal tea / boil made from ginger and black grapes.
• - Once or twice a day, molasses and or fresh lemon juice - can be added if needed.
• Golden Milk - Half a teaspoon turmeric in 5 ml warm milk - once or twice a day.

Nasya - Apply sesame oil / coconut oil or ghee in both nostrils - morning and evening..

Simple Ayurvedic Medicine 

To rinse - Take 2 tablespoons sesame oil or coconut oil in the mouth for 3 to 5 minutes and then remove (do not drink) then rinse hot water - can be done once or twice a day.

When dry cough / throat irritation-

• Take a bath of fresh mint leaves or try hot water vapor
• Clove powder can be mixed with sugar or honey
• In case of cough or throat irritation once a day.
• These steps can usually be done to treat dry cough and throat irritation, but it is best to consult a doctor if these symptoms persist.

Take two chili powder in two tablespoons juice of basil and take it in the morning.

Pharmaceutical gel: Boil 1 tablespoon and cinnamon 1 tablespoon (or 6 tablespoons) boiling in 5 glasses of water for 3 hours while the glass remains. Drink a newborn as needed.

Incense: Salai googol 1 g, horseradish - 3 g, mustard - 2 g. , Neem leaf - 1 gr. And cow's ghee - 3g. Combine a tablespoonful of electric raspberries or cow dung dung at sunrise and sunset.

The cruise service between Surat's Hazira port and Diu will start from March 31

A cruise ship will leave Hazira every Monday and Wednesday and reach Diu next day in the morning. Return journey will take place on the same day in the evening from Diu and end at Hazira next day in the morning. One side journey will take 13 to 14 hours time.

A 300-passenger capacity cruise ship will have 16 cabins. It will make two round trips in a week. It will take passengers to high-sea on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

A cruise ship has gaming lounge, VIP lounge, entertainment on deck etc latest facilities.

Around four months ago, ro-pax ferry service connecting Hazira (Surat) and Ghogha (Bhavnagar) was launched. It has so far carried over one lakh passengers in addition to thousands of vehicles.

Initially, this service will be weekly with the vessel departing from Bandra Worli Sealink every Thursday at around 5pm to arrive at Hazira on Friday at around 9am. It will depart from Hazira on Friday around 5pm to arrive at Bandra Worli Sealink next day at 9am. The number of trips will be increased as per demand.

IPL 2021 schedule announced: Kick-off on April 9, final on May 30

The much-awaited Indian Premier League 2021 full schedule was released by the Indian cricket board (BCCI) a day after India triumph England 3-1 in the four-match Test series in Ahmedabad. 

The season opener will see defending champions Mumbai Indians face off with Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai on April 9 with the final slated in Ahmedabad on May 30. 

As per BCCI's official statement, the league stage matches will be played over six cities -- namely Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Kolkata -- without fans at the stadia and a decision will be reviewed later on allowing spectators at the stadia if the COVID-19 pandemic situation improves.

Giving up on the traditional home-away format when played in India due to pandemic situation, the IPL will be played over three phases with two cities hosting four teams each in every phase in the league stages. The carnival will first be camped in Mumbai and Chennai, then moving to Delhi and Bangalore with the final league stages in Bengaluru and Kolkata.

The qualifiers and the final match then will be played in Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.

The IPL website said that the first match will be held in Chennai with a high octane clash between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the world’s largest cricket stadium – will host the playoffs as well as the final on May 30, which promises to be a visual spectacle.

BCCI said the fixtures of the tournament have been mapped in a way that every team will travel only three times during the league stage, thus reducing commute and minimising risk due to coronavirus. The tournament will be played behind closed doors to begin with and a call on allowing spectators will be taken at a later stage of the tournament.

The eight competing IPL teams are Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Mumbai Indians are the current two times defending champions, after winning both the 2019 and the 2020 seasons. Kings XI Punjab had announced last month that they have been renamed the Punjab Kings.
