After January 1, 2020, vehicles without fastags will have to pay double toll if they pass through the toll lane.  Toll plaza operators have begun preparations for the new system.  Apart from that, every lane of the toll plaza will be cashless from December 15.

If any vehicle is without fastag, double toll will be charged from it.

 It is clear from the vehicles passing through the toll lane that 25 per cent of vehicles in India are still without fastags.

 According to the toss staff, people will be made aware of Fastag.  Some banks have also set up their camps as well as other toll plazas to raise awareness about Fastag but now from January 1, the toll will be doubled.

More than 35,000 vehicles pass through the toll plaza every day, of which 5,000 are without fastags.  Newer vehicles have a fastag but older vehicles do not.
